#CispaBlackout – We call for an Internet Black Out on Monday April 22nd

Greetings United States gov,

We are the Internet. Again, you are trying to pass this ridiculous CISPA law in order to control and censor the people. This will not stand. You already control the media, the economy, the criminal underworld, your national plots and our energy. YOU WILL NOT GET OUR INTERNET!

The U.S. law that would turn Google, Facebook, and Twitter into legally untouchable government spies just passed the House.

This bill affects everyone — not just U.S. citizens. Anyone with a Facebook account could now have their data shipped directly to the U.S. government. That’s why Internet users overwhelmingly oppose this bill. Over 1.5 million people signed petitions against it. But Congress didn’t listen. This law broadened the state terror and repression of the people. By allowing corporations to track our every action on the internet the state and corporations will be merged and that we have seen before: it is called fascism.

We are going dark on MONDAY April 22nd at 6 AM GMT for 24 hours to protest your illogical and terrorizing bill against the Internet itself. Even with the whole Internet crying out to stop this BILL, the US House of Representatives failed to do so blinded by lobbyist’s money and cum in your eyes. So we will take action ourselves and open your eyes. Every popular/mainstream websites will be black until you, Mr. DronObama promise us to use your VETO power to stop this bill at Senate. Take this as a protest or a warning, as you wish. One thing is for certain, neither you or anyone else in this world can control the Internet, so don’t even try. Stop wasting taxpayers’ money into doing these kind of shenanigans.

We are Anonymous.
We are Legion.
We do not Forgive.
We do not Forget.
Expect us.

If this bill DOES pass, it is us who run the internet. It was created by the people, not the government. If the people want the Government overruled, it is the people’s duty to get what they want. We will march on Washington in numbers never before seen. And we will take back our rights. Im not just talking about privacy, I’m talking about the right to bear arms too (marijuana is illegal and just look at /r/trees). Since when have criminals ever followed the law. I understand that you’re sad over recent tradgities, but at least think logically. If you get any thing from this, let it be that it is not the government who has the power, it is the People.

The “webpage” was first created by CERN around 1980 as a means of better communication for employees. The first people to use the “Intranet” in the united states was a college, and I believe it was UCLA, but I may be wrong about the specific college. But this was in an attempt to better communicate across campuses.

I want to be anonymous to the unnecessary and overreaching use of my identity on the internet. It has come to the point that our government is acting like the opposite of a democracy. One of the reasons the Pilgrims can to this continent was to get away from the kind of government which as in control of every facet of people’s thoughts. In my mind, there is reason to have law and order, but not to take away the freedoms that we have gained in the past two hundred years by the sweat and blood and ingenuity of the common, good hearted American citizen. I cherish the right to be able to think freely and be able “to choose the right” in willingly. this new law sounds too much like socialist Russia and Nazi Germany of the early 20th century. The cold war ended because it was not necessary in the first place. WWI and WWII were won because Christian, democratic America won the day. PLease, “do not punish the whole class because a few children have been naughty in school.”

I don’t know what this government tracking issue is all about, perhaps it SHOULD be fought… but might make the following point regarding the Internet. The anonymity of the Internet makes people talk to others with a level of disrespect and hurtfulness that they NEVER would face to face, or on the phone. (as seen above) It is like they don’t think that the folks reading are really human beings… A high level of latitude in what is available on the Internet is a good thing, but sites that are PURE EVIL, like: terrorist sites, making bombs/nuclear bombs & chemical or biological weapons, Raping and torturing children, “snuff films”, etc. should be banned By ANYONE’S standards, from any culture in the world, (IF they’re not crazy), the above extreme examples are evil, and the Web sites should be banned, and the perpetrators should be locked up. The internet is a wonderful thing, to a point, but “some” rational censorship is needed, if we as a species are to survive it’s invention. I don’t mean silencing dissenting points of view here, just getting the PURE EVIL off of the Internet. Who’s to say what is NOTHING but evil? ANY rational person can, as in the examples given. “Total” lack of oversite of the Internet is a very dangerous thing, when it is SO total that it includes the instructions to destroy us all. Think about it…
