It is easy. All you have to do is be righteously pissed off by human rights violations an censure of speech, and learn to DDoS. Or even just share links. It takes everyone of all skill sets.

This is a good thing. I’m glad to see someone using the internet for what it could be used for: systematic questioning of those in power and attacking them where it does not hurt innocent people. For all you Anonymous people out there, thank you. Keep going. They are starting to pay attention.

from time to time the tree of liberty must be refreshed with the blood of patriots and tyrants. hopefully more from the tyrants than the patriots. IT IS TIME FOR REVOLUTION!

I seriously think that what you guys do is amazing and so very necessary, but why did you have to drop a homophobic slur into your video description?! That’s not so necessary :(

    • Anonymous

      January 7, 2013

The slur is a remnant of the 4chan board. Yes it’s a slur but its offensiveness is diluted by its frequency of use. Anon is not homophobic just a little excitable. This is not an organization with dues. There are no leaders or bosses. There’s no sensitivity training requirement. We can all agree that its use should be discouraged but do not think that one anon speaks for all anons. This is not a club. Anonymous is an idea.

      • Anonymous

        January 8, 2013

Honestly I don’t think it even counts as a slur anymore. At least I don’t know anyone anymore who still uses it as such.

          January 11, 2013

It’s still a slur. Calling a black person a nigger is still a slur no matter how popular the word is.

However, I agree, one anon does not represent the entire anon.

just like the word “gay”? that is a word my 75 year old grandfather equates with having fun- says the homosexual community hijacked it, and we can’t use it anymore because of that. it, like fag is JUST A WORD- don’t give it any more credence

To all anons, this is the year to say stop. We are all 1. All children of the world. < Thats the bottom line!!!!!

In UK a fag is a cigarette.

    This is great.
I want to add, the use of the word fag is triggering of a lot of alienation and pain for many people. yes it’s just a word, but it has some sick recent history of encouraging oppression. In this post it appears to be used in a negative way.

I’m interested in the Anons work, but almost stopped looking into it further after reading the “fags” comment. It taints the Anonomous idea and will give opponents credible fodder. Giving your enemy a gun isn’t such a good idea. The world is watching very closely right now. A little PCness will grease the wheels and win more support.

Alot of news sites have been saying Anonymous is going to decline this year…I don’t believe so. But what do you think??

      January 19, 2013

This claim is from John McAfee from the Anti-Virus biz. Some Anon say, yes, some say no.
What we can say is that we’re more active than ever and all our effort bolster our ranks each day.
If system are more secure because we hacked the shit out of them, then the Internet is a safer place because of us and we are thankful.
Yet, we’ve improved at getting media attention, organizing protests, reaching out to other activists.
